NIZAMABAD: Minister for Medical Education P. Sudarshan Reddy distributed assets under various schemes and input subsidy, all worth Rs.50 crores to beneficiaries here on Saturday, . He also gave away tri-cycles to the differently-abled persons.

Later, addressing the Praja Patham-Punarankita Sabha (rededication meeting) at the Rajiv Gandhi Auditorium, the Minister said the programme helped mitigate many problems confronted by the people in rural areas in the summer to a great extent. He however, wanted a permamnent solution to their drinking water needs and asked the authorities to allow digging of bore-wells even below 350 ft.

Saying that the farmers were facing hardships due to overload on electric transformers, he asked the Transco officers to erect additional transformers.
