The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has demanded that the Central Bureau of Investing (CBI) probing the illegal mining case against Gali Janardhan Reddy include Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy as an accused as his involvement has been established now.

Talking to mediapersons here on Monday, senior TDP leader K. Yerran Naidu said that the CBI inquiry had established that Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy had played a key role in the transfer of mining lease from Ramamohan Reddy to Mr. Janardhan Reddy by sidelining the application of N. Konda Reddy, son of former Proddutur MLA N. Varadarajulu Reddy.

Hiding the truth

By not revealing the fact to the media that Mr. Konda Reddy was present when he was being questioned by the CBI in the illegal mining case, Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy had tried to hide the truth, Mr. Yerran Naidu alleged.

Instead of clarifying on their leader Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy's alleged threatening of Mr. Konda Reddy, the YSR Congress leaders were resorting to mudslinging on Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu, he said.

The reported deposition of Mr. Konda Reddy before the CBI as a witness in the illegal mining case and his claim that he was threatened not to press for getting the Obulapuram mining lease had established Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy's role in the allotment of the lease to Mr. Janardhan Reddy.

This was done with the help of his father and former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, Mr. Yerran Naidu said.

The Red Gold and R.R. Global companies that invested in Sakshi were floated only after the allotment of Obulapuram mining lease to Mr. Janardhan Reddy, Mr.Naidu pointed out and suggested that the CBI file FIR against Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy.
