District Collector K. Sasidhar inaugurated a mineral water plant set up with an outlay of Rs. 5 lakh in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences hospital at Putlampalle on Friday.

Rythu Seva Samithi president Singareddy Sriramachandra Reddy came forward to supply mineral water to the patients and student hostels in RIMS, the Collector said. Mr. Sasidhar exhorted RIMS authorities and students to use water judiciously. He directed RIMS Director C. Siddhappa Gaurav to post a security guard at the water plant.

Meanwhile, the Collector inspected the strong room and counting hall for general elections on RIMS hospital premises. A.P. Medical and Health Infrastructure Development Corporation executive engineer Malleswara Reddy and others were present.
