Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) party activists on Thursday observed ‘black day’ to mark the 20th anniversary of the demolition of Babri Masjid. They took out a bike rally from Battuguda to the Collectorate and SP’s office.

Led by Ahmed Kaleem, MIM president, and Abdul Quayyum, secretary, they submitted a memorandum demanding the re-building of the mosque at the same site. Congress partymen, led by former Councillor Moinuddin, took out a rally from Old Chowrasta to SP’s office, to mark ‘black day’. They submitted a memorandum to Dr. Navin Gulati. N. Narasimha Reddy, CPI(M) district secretary, and K. Bhupal Reddy, Telugu Desam leader, extended support to the rally. Muslims took out a procession in Bhongir town.
