VISAKHAPATNAM: VUDA conducted a draw of lots on Wednesday for allotment of MIG flats in the ‘Singapore' Class Township ‘Harita' housing project coming up at Madhurawada. The draw of lots was held for allotting the MIG units to the HIG and LIG applicants who did not get them and opted for MIG category units. The provisional allotment of units was held in February to all categories and VUDA received more applications than the number of units available in HIG and LIG categories. Those who did not get allotment in HIG and LIG categories were given an opportunity to opt for MIG units. Accordingly, 66 applicants submitted option. Out of the 66 applicants, 55 attended the draw on Wednesday and got allotment.
The draw of lots was conducted transparently, displaying the vacancy position and allotment of the units according to the choice of the applicants. VUDA Secretary M.S. Bhagavan conducted the proceedings by explaining each and every stage of the lots.
VUDA would take further action in accordance with the decision of the Vice-Chairman for allotment of the remaining 195 MIG units in ‘Harita' project, the secretary said.
