After nine days of countering the Government's efforts to make installation of digital meters mandatory, the autorickshaw drivers finally gave in, agreeing for a re-look after three months.

The issue, on whether digital meters will come or not, will be decided after a team studies implementation of the same in other cities.

The question remains, if the team reports a success story from those cities, will the auto drivers' unions swallow all those charges they had made, including those of `huge mamools', against the digital meter and officials? Will they meekly fit the contentious device to their three-wheelers is to be seen?
