The general public in Hyderabad are mighty pleased with the sudden shift in the weather pattern that has led to a sharp drop in day-time temperature.
While weathermen have termed the ongoing phenomenon as “summer thundershowers” and “pre-monsoon showers”, citizens are heaving a sigh of relief.
The day-time maximum temperature on Friday was 36.7 degree Celsius, a good three degrees less than the normal, while night-time temperature was 24 degree Celsius, three degrees below normal.
“Usually, at this time of the year, the maximum temperature hovers between 39 and 40 degrees Celsius, and minimum temperature hovers around 27 and 28 degree Celsius. Weather in the next few days could be similar,” Hyderabad Met Department officials said. IMD Hyderabad has said conditions are likely to be cloudy with rain and thundershowers in parts of the city in the next 48 hours.
The maximum temperature in the next 48 hours in the city will hover between 36 and 37 degree Celsius.
