NELLORE: District Superintendent of Police E. Damodar served memos to four police personnel who are working in District Police Officers Association for allegedly skipping duties on the pretext of welfare of the staff.

According to the byelaw of the association, there were no instructions for A.P. Police Officers Association members giving exemption from attending duties. However, association president G. Madhava Reddy, State treasurer M. Gangadhar, former district presidents Y. Srihari Babu and T. Mohan Rao were skipping duties in the name of association works.

Memos were served to the four office bearers of the association seeking clarification for absenting from duties for the past few years.
