Congress legislator T. Jayaprakash Reddy said a martyrs' memorial would be constructed at the district headquarters in memory of those who sacrificed their lives for Telangana recently.
Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, Mr. Jayaprakash Reddy said financial assistance would be extended to the families of Ishan Reddy, Lakshmana Chary, Suresh Naik, S. Ram Reddy, Srikanth, Ramesh and Suryaprakash, who committed suicide for Telangana, at a programme that would be held by the party. Ministers and legislators and MPs would participate in the programme. He said that he would also extend assistance in his personal capacity as a legislator.
Referring to the controversy that arose on the visit of Srikrishna Committee member secretary V.K. Duggal to the residence of T. Subbarami Reddy, MP, Mr. Reddy said that there was nothing wrong in Mr. Duggal attending private parties.
Asked about the reports that there might be a change of leadership in the government, the Congress MLA said that there was no need to change Chief Minister K. Rosaiah as he has been extending a good administration to the State. “What is the need for change when Mr. Rosaiah is giving a good administration despite the problems?” he asked.
MLA also promises to extend financial aid to kin of those who died for Telangana
