A meeting on how to tackle crime against women will be conducted at Nyaya Seva Sadan from 11am on Saturday. The meeting was convened to create awareness among women on various legislations, said Additional District Judge M.G. Priya Darshini at a press conference on Thursday. Expressing concern over growing atrocities on women and girls across the nation, she blamed visual media for the present sorry state of affairs. A number of people from government, NGOs, students, psychologists, and others would participate. Secretary of Nyaya Seva Sadan Kanaka Durga felt that creating awareness among women on legislations would help in protecting themselves from atrocities. She said that “Bank Adalats” would be conducted shortly to save people from cheating chit fund companies.
