Telugu Desam Party leader, Kadiam Srihari described the meeting an eyewash, as it was being convened to placate the angry Telangana Congress MPs who were upset with the delaying tactics adopted by their party in the formation of separate Statehood. “It is unfortunate that the Centre has not learnt anything from the past mistakes”.
In the same breath, Mr. Srihari said the party would hold a meeting with president N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is now on “Meekosam… padayatra” in three or four days and take a decision on whether to send one or two representatives. Since Mr. Naidu himself had demanded such a meeting there was no question of boycotting it. “We will definitely present our view”.
