More than 100 delegates from India and abroad began deliberations on problems relating to major Asian river systems and effect of climate change on them at an international symposium.

Experts from the United States of America, Japan, Australia and China, among others, will present research findings at the symposium which began the scientific sessions on Thursday.

The deliberations are expected to provide new insight into the evolution of Asian river systems and their linkages with tectonic and climatic processes.
