District Judge N. Balayogi opened the mediation centre attached to the District Legal Services Authority here on Thursday.

Addressing the meeting at district court, he said the mediation centre was intended to resolve disputes among the contending parties through reconciliation.

Family, marital and property disputes could be resolved in the presence of judge at the mediation centre. The centre would provide privacy to the both parties.

Legal Services Authority secretary Syamsunder who is in charge of Lok Adalat asked public to make use of the new concept to resolve disputes without dragging them on for too long.

Additional Civil Judge Sujana Kumari, magistrates Bhupal Reddy, Harita, Subba Rao, Bar Association president Nagendranath and others were present.
