The Karimnagar district administration has decided to impart training in martial arts to the girl students of all social welfare hostels in the district from the next academic year.
Buoyed by the response from the girl students of the SC Social Welfare Hostel for Girls in Huzurabad on the impact of learning martial arts, Collector Smita Sabharwal has said that they will impart martial arts training to all the girls in all social welfare hostels. The Collector, who visited the hostel on Saturday, was impressed by the martial arts performance by the students. She said that they would appoint martial arts trainer in all hostels.
The Collector told the students about the importance of learning English language to excel in their career and advised them to learn the language compulsorily.
The Collector participated in the community lunch along with the girl students in the hostel. She told the students to utilise the Skype video calling facility to improve the facilities in the hostels. Joint director (social welfare) Nageshwara Rao, ZP CEO Chakradhar Rao and others were also present.
