Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Tuesday arrested Pindiga Satya Sagar, the surveyor of Ghatkesar mandal revenue office of Ranga Reddy district for allegedly receiving Rs. 50,000 from a person. Along with the surveyor, V. Venkateswar Rao, a private person through whom he received the bribe, was also arrested. The surveyor allegedly demanded Rs. 1.3 lakh bribe initially when the complainant approached him for demarcation of nine acres of land belonging to Sai Teja Gardens Private Limited under survey No. 156 at Aumsapur in Ghatkesar, the ACB DSP I. Venkateswarlu said.
He eventually agreed to complete the work for Rs. 50,000. He received the bribe in his office and handed over the sum to Rao. The tainted sum was recovered from Rao. Both Sagar and Rao tested positive to a chemical test.
