HYDERABAD: A jeweller's employee, Tanish Prajapath, 26, was detained by the Nampally police on Wednesday after finding 3.24 kg gold jewellery in a bag he was carrying during security checks at Nampally railway station. Subsequent inquiries revealed that the jewellery belonged to his employer, Vikram Kumar Jain, and he was taking the ornaments to deliver them to customers in Kerala. “They could produce documents relating to the jewellery. But the matter was taken to the notice of Income Tax officials to ascertain facts,” the Inspector, K. Ashok Chakravarthy, said.

Held with fake passport

Immigration authorities detained a person, Basheer Ahmed, from Kerala, at the RGIA , Shamshabad, after finding that his passport was forged. He was handed over to the local police .
