A 30-year-old person murdered a grocery store owner’s daughter by slitting her throat before attempting suicide in her house at Ibrahimpatnam on the city outskirts on Wednesday, the police said.

He was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital first and then to a private hospital. Raghavendra told the police that Balaraju’s family owed him near Rs. 50 lakh. He maintained that Nikhila entered into an argument with him when he insisted that the money be returned.
Raghavendra claimed that he killed Nikhila in a fit of rage but his version was being probed, the ACP said.
