Prakasam District Principal District and Sessions Judge A.Radhakrishna exhorted the police personnel to ensure a child-friendly environment in police stations. Inaugurating a training programme for Juvenile/Child Welfare Officers and members of Special Juvenile police units, he said they had a collective responsibility to ensure protection to all missing children and child victims of crimes.

Superintendent of Police Pramod Kumar asked the police officers concerned to register FIR and make special efforts to trace missing children and strive for their rehabilitation.

A brochure on the Juvenile Justice Act brought out by Child Welfare Committee Chairperson N.V.S.Rammohan Rao was released on the occasion.

Principal Senior Civil Judge S.Venkateswara Prasad noted that a serious problem existed in ascertaining the age of illiterate juveniles in the border age.
