ADILABAD: Exigencies brought about by present circumstances look to be forcing opposition party MLAs in Adilabad district to make moves that are not considered politically correct. Nirmal MLA A. Maheshwar Reddy (Praja Rajyam) accompanying Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on his ‘Odarpu Yatra' on May 28 could be a case in point.

Maheshwar Reddy got estranged from the Praja Rajyam for championing the cause of Telangana.

The unexpected appearance of Maheshwar Reddy by the side of the Kadapa MP in the controversial tour has landed him in trouble in his home town of Nirmal.

His house was ‘attacked' during the bandh on Saturday by pro-Telangana activists for accompanying Jaganmohan Reddy.

It is believed that the PR MLA's entry into Congress got foiled by the sudden demise of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. He seems to have chosen to align with the Kadapa MP's group in the party on finding former Adilabad MP A. Indrakaran Reddy to be a stumbling block in his efforts to find a firm foothold in the political firmament.
