‘Sri Rama Maha Mantranushtana Maha Yagam’ was performed in a traditional manner at the TTD’s Sri Kodandarama temple here on Thursday, ahead of ‘Sri Rama Navami’ festival.

More than a hundred ‘Ritwiks’ (priests performing the Yagam) participated in the holy ritual under the headship of TTD’s Agama advisor Vedantam Vishnu Bhattacharya, who prayed for global peace and prosperity.

The entire event was performed as per the procedure laid down in ‘Vaikhanasa Agama’ doctrine, wherein the priests chanted ‘Rama Gayatri’ and ‘Sita Gayatri’ mantras for five hours.
