Bankers Institute for Rural Development-Lucknow Deputy General Manager A.K. Mahanti has lauded various developmental activities of NABARD in Srikakulam district.

Addressing bank and rural development officials of 17 States in Srikakulam on Friday, he said Maa Thota programme of the NABARD had changed the lives of 3,700 tribal people in the district. He said development of 3,500 acres of barren land had inspired the officials who visited the fields in the last few days.

NABARD Srikakulam Assistant General Manager K.Subramaniyam said tribal families could earn respectable income with the development of land. He said the programme was running successfully in areas like Seethampet, Amudalavalasa, Hiramandalam and other places.
