VISAKHAPATNAM: The Layout Regularisation Scheme meant for regularisation of illegal, unapproved layouts and individual plots in the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) area has been extended up to November 30.
The State government has issued GO Ms. No. 546 to this effect stating the extension of last date to submit applications under LRS up to November-end.
Vice-Chairman of VUDA V.N. Vishnu said on Saturday that applications would be received under LRS up to November 30.
Mr. Vishnu advised the owners of unapproved layouts and plots to make use of the benefit extended by the government.
VUDA has so far received a total of 11,688 applications out of which 10,184 were attended and disposed as per the work examined.
Out of the total applications received, 8,721 applicants were addressed letters seeking further information in support of their applications, 1,172 applications were rejected.
The Vice-Chairman directed the staff of the planning wing to attend to the LRS works on priority and stick to rules specified by the government while approving.
