‘Loans for 23,000 tenant farmers in Kadapa’

Joint Collector K. Nirmala advised bankers on Saturday to pay greater attention to the sanction of loans to tenant farmers.

He said the government had envisaged the grant of loans to 23,000 farmers in Kadapa district.

Addressing a review meeting with tahsildars and bank officials of Badvel constituency in the Rajampet Sub-Collector’s office, she recalled that 10,000 tenant farmers were identified and issued loan eligibility cards in Kadapa district.

Two thousand and five hundred farmers were issued loans last year.

Plans were drawn to sanction loans to 5,000 tenant farmers in Badvel segment this year.

‘Utilise loans’

Lead District Manager A. Veera Reddy and DRDA Project Director G. Gopal advised farmers to utilise the loans and promptly repay the banks.

Rajampet Sub-Collector Preethi Meena, revenue and bank officials, and Indira Kranthi Patham activists of Badvel segment participated.
