Live the Marriage gets special jury award

City-based film-maker Kamal Sucharan’s movie Live the Marriage won him an award in the special jury category at the First Cut film festival conducted by Department of Mass Communication, St. Francis College for Women, Hyderabad.

Kamal. who recently launched Newlight film production unit here, said the film highlighted the beauty of the institution of marriage built on trust, love, and understanding of each other over the short-lived live-in relationship. The film won the first prize special jury category out of 12 films that had been selected for final screening.

“The plot of the movie is revealed by the parallel stories of three couples and their relationship intricacies, finally reaffirming the marriage as a time-tested and secure relationship,” Mr. Kamal said. The movie has been shot for Visakhapatnam city police and has won critical acclaim.
