VIJAYAWADA: Activist of the Left Parties – the CPI and the CPI (M) – will picket the sub-collector’s office here and the revenue divisional offices at Machilipatnam and Gudivada on November 21 and 22, respectively, to register their protest against the State government’s failure to provide land to the poor and curtailing of sky-rocketing prices of essential commodities. CPI (M) leaders V. Umamaheswara Rao, Ch. Babu Rao, R.Raghu, CPI leaders K. Subba Raju, A.V. Gopala Rao and Suryadevara Nageswara Rao told newsmen here on Tuesday, said that the prices of essential commodities had gone up by 150 per cent, but the State government was “indifferent” to plight of the poor.
