HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K. Rosaiah and presidents of Telugu Desam and Praja Rajyam parties N. Chandrababu Naidu and Chiranjeevi respectively on Wednesday condoled the death of Ayyappa devotees hailing from the State in a road accident in Kerala on Tuesday.
According to a press release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, Mr. Rosaiah telephoned his Kerala counterpart V.S. Achutanandan to get details of the accident. He urged the local administration to ensure that the injured received suitable treatment and to arrange for the despatch of the bodies. He conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families.
In his message, Mr. Naidu demanded payment of immediate ex gratia to the accident victims who belonged to Anasagaram village in Nandigama mandal.
Mr. Chiranjeevi requested Mr. Rosaiah to press into service helicopters to shift the bodies. He sought Rs.5 lakh as ex-gratia to each of the 12 families of the dead and Rs.2 lakh each to the injured persons.
