Harini Gastro and Liver Centre has acquired the latest Olympus EVIS EXERA III (CV-190) endoscope.

Consultant gastroenterologist, hepatologist and therapeutic endoscopist N.Tirumala Rao addressing a press conference here on Saturday said that Harini Centre was the first to acquire the state-of-the-art technology that had several innovations that help the surgeons do a better job. EVIS EXERA III (CV-190) provided some path breaking functions like dual focus (high magnification), high definition with high resolution, narrow band imaging and pre-freeze (image stabiliser). This helped the doctors to diagnose life threatening diseases like cancer and barrettes at an early stage. If cancer was diagnosed earlier then it was possible to cure it completely, he said. The equipment also had narrow band imaging (NBI) that reduced the load of multiple biopsy which was of great convenience to the patient and the doctor. Dr Rao said that Harini was the first centre in the state to acquire the state-of-the-art technology.
