The authorities of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams ( TTD ) on Wednesday presented the antique ‘Lakshmi Kasulaharam’ to the famous temple of goddess Padmavathi ammavaru at Tiruchanoor.

The centuries old Lakshmi haram is generally adorned to the main deity of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala.

As is the practise the precious jewel whose history is rooted deep in the temple legends will be adorned by the goddess during the procession of the auspicious ‘Gaja Vahanam’ in the night as part of the ongoing Karthika Brahmotsavams at the Tiruchanoor temple.

While the Tirumala-based Joint Executive Officer K.S. Srinivasa Raju carried the ornament in a grand procession from the Tirumala temple and reached Kasuvu mandapam at Tiruchanoor his counterpart at Tirupati P. Venkatarami Reddy later presented it at the temple.

Meanwhile, the TTD’s Executive officer LV Subramanyam held a marathon meeting with the heads of various departments in the TTD and reviewed the arrangements being made of the ‘Panchami Theertham’ slated on Sunday.

Besides instructing the engineering officials to complete required barricading at the temple Pushkarini for the Panchami theertham he also asked them to set-up special let outs for the distribution of Anna prasadam.

Prominent among others who participated in the meeting also included the TTDs CVSO GVG Ashok kumar, Chief engineer Chandra sekhar reddy, Superintendent engineer Ramachandra reddy, Dy.eo Gopalakrishna and other officials.
