The Department of Biotechnology, Kakatiya University is organising an international conference ‘Biotechnology in Human Welfare’ from February 7 to 9.
Prof. A. Sadanandam said in order to keep the students informed of latest developments in biotechnology, the Department of Biotechnology, Kakatiya University has been organising workshops, symposia, seminars and conferences.
Scientists and academia from Germany, USA, China, Netherlands, Switzerland, Hungary and Iran and internationally reputed Indian scientists and academicians from premier Indian institutes and Central and State universities such as ICGEB, IARI NBPGR, NCL, CFTRI, Visva-Bharati Santiniketan, Hamdard University, Osmania University, University of Delhi, University of Hyderabad, Gulbarga University, University of Goa, North Eastern Hill University, Panjab University, Utkal University, Acharya NG.Ranga Agricultural University, University of Madras, and Bharathidasan University will deliver plenary lectures encompassing, the branches of biotechnology such as genetic engineering, recombinant proteins/molecules, genomic and proteomics, RNAi technology, molecular evolution & phylogeny and environmental biotechnology
The three-day international event includes an inaugural session, seven plenary lecturer sessions and a closing session. Each plenary lecturer session has three to four speakers and the session will be chaired by a professor.
In this international event, a total of 200 abstracts encompassing various disciplines of biological sciences and interdisciplinary subjects such as biotechnology, genetics, biochemistry, biophysics, microbiology and pharmaceutical sciences will be presented by delegates.
