The Geology Department of the Kakatiya University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NSL Mining Resources India Private Limited, a subsidiary of Australian Mining Company NSL Consolidated Limited.

KU Registrar K. Sayulu and NSL director Sean Freeman signed the MoU on Thursday in Hyderabad in the presence of Vice-Chancellor B. Venkat Rathnam. Under the MoU, the KU Geology Department and the NSL company have mutually agreed to develop R & D and NSL would extend placements and training to students and faculty and provide scholarships to students.

Investment plan

The NSL has massive investment plans with high-end technology for exploration and mining, said Sean Freeman and they are willing to work with the University.

Prof. B. Venkat Rathnam said that the geology students and faculty would benefit immensely with the MoU.
