This year’s pass percentage is three points higher than last year: official
With a pass percentage of 77, Krishna district once again stood first in the State in the final Intermediate results-2013, which were released on Saturday.
Having a glorious past of being top in Intermediate education for the past five years, the district continues its consistent performance. “This year’s pass percentage of 77 is three points higher than last year’s. A total of 44,584 candidates of all streams passed from among the 54,454 candidates who had appeared for the final Intermediate examination,” said Board of Intermediate Regional Inspection Officer K. Venkataramayya.
However, the district-level pass percentage of boys and girls is yet to be released. In private category, totally 2,063 candidates passed from among the 6,463 private candidates in the district. Kshetrayya Government Junior College (KGJR), Movva, which topped all colleges in the district in the first year Intermediate results, also topped in the district in the final Intermediate results with 99.3 pass percentage. Barely one candidate among 141 candidates failed, and three MPC students from this college secured 889 marks.
V. Meghana of M.P.C. secured 889 marks and emerged college topper in the batch 2012-12. According to KGJR principal P. Ravi Kumar, the college topped the district in Intermediate for the past ten years. Speaking to The Hindu , Mr. K. Venkataramayya told that “the last date for applying advanced supplementary examinations is May 3 and examinations are scheduled to be held from May 22.”
He added that “the pass percentage of Intermediate continues to increase every year, and particularly the increase pass percentage in the government junior colleges is laudable.”
