VISAKHAPATNAM: Two days were not enough for queues of eager children and visitors at the superlative multi-theme exhibition organised by the Kotak Salesian School on Thursday and Friday.

Broad subject themes such as English, Telugu, Hindi, physics, chemistry, biology, maths, social studies, SUPW (Socially Useful Project Work), physical education and computer science were given to students from classes IV to X who had the freedom to come up with interesting projects on any topic under the chosen subject.

"We hope to not only encourage students to develop their skills and interest in a subject but also provide a mutual learning experience for the students, teachers and parents," says principal of the school, Father Jose Marie. The exhibition is open to all and the school has made efforts to invite Telugu medium schools for the event.

Each project display room is a world of its own. History was recorded in thermacol as miniature Indian monument models such as the Charminar, Red Fort and an elaborate but intricately designed Andaman Cellular Jail, were exhibited. The science display room resembled a mad scientist's laboratory as enthusiastic students explained their contraptions with ease as the confused viewer watched amazed. "To avoid any partiality the event will be judged by teachers from other schools," said the principal. Looking at the range of talents on display it will indeed be a tough decision to make.
