Show cause notices to four pro-Jagan MLAs flayed
The Kiran Kumar Reddy government will plunged into a crisis after the Kadapa and Pulivendula by-elections and it will not be able to continue till 2014, Congress MLA owing allegiance to YSR Congress Party Konda Surekha said on Tuesday.
The YSR Congress Party would chalk out its future course of action after the by-elections, she told newsmen here. The results of the by-elections would be a blow to the Congress, she said. The Congress feared by-poll prospects and hence was putting pressure on YSR Congress functionaries and getting them bound over on flimsy reasons, she alleged.
Meanwhile, former Minister Konathala Ramakrishna flayed the Ministers and Congress functionaries for campaigning along with YSR's portrait, despite their claims that they had only won on UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi's image. He dared the Congress MLAs to resign and get re-elected on Sonia's charisma and offered that all the pro-Jagan MLAs would quit and get re-elected with YSR portrait. Denouncing serving of show-cause notices on four Congress MLAs backing YSR Congress Party, he asked the government if it lacked the courage to serve notices on all pro-Jagan MLAs at a time. He described it as a strong-arm tactic during elections.
YSR Congress leader Ambati Rambabu also demanded that show-cause notices be served on all pro-Jagan MLAs at once. The Congress was wary of taking action against all pro-Jagan MLAs, despite making arrangements to merge Praja Rajyam with it notwithstanding its president K. Chiranjeevi's tirade against the Congress, Mr. Rambabu said.
