Naidu’s letter reminder to UPA, he says

Senior TDP leader Kodela Sivaprasada Rao asserted that the letter written by N. Chandrababu Naidu to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with regard to the demand for Telangana State was a reminder of responsibility of the UPA government and Congress party to resolve the imbroglio.

The onus of finding an amicable solution to the burning issue rests on the Congress. If it has the courage to decide either way, it should immediately summon an all-party meeting, where the TDP would make its views known.

There was a time when former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy had supported the demand for Telangana State due to his party’s compulsions, Mr. Sivaprasada Rao said in a press conference held at the district party office here on Thursday. The TRS is playing its own game and the YSR Congress lacked the maturity and understanding to decide on which side of the fence it sits, he said.
