Director of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, Damodar Acharya, will be the chief guest of the first annual convocation of KL University to be held on its campus on Saturday at 10 a.m. He will deliver the convocation address while university chancellor Koneru Satyanarayana, vice chancellor G.L. Datta will be present. As many as 239 M.Tech. and MBA degrees and gold medals to toppers will be presented in the respective courses at the convocation. Besides this, there will be academic honours to several personalities. Announcing details at a press conference here on Friday, Mr. Datta and KLU vice president Raja Harin said that their university has three decades of strong presence and experience in imparting quality higher technical education. With a flexible and successful academic system, the KLU strived to provide an opportunity to the students to pursue courses in specialised streams as per their choice, they added.
