Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy is leaving for New Delhi on Saturday morning to call on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Mr. Reddy advanced his visit by a day after confirmation of Prime Minister's office regarding his appointment. He will meet the Prime Minister at 1 p.m. to seek enhancement of minimum support price for paddy by Rs. 200 a quintal and permission to export 25 lakh metric tonnes of par boiled and raw rice abroad.
From Delhi, he will fly to Bangalore on Sunday morning to attend the wedding of Congress MP Ananta Venkata Reddy's daughter and son of Legislative Council Whip Y. Sivarami Reddy in Anantapur. He will return to Delhi the same day to join the dinner hosted by the Prime Minister for the Congress MPs from the State.
Mr. Reddy will meet Congress leaders on Monday to discuss filling up of organisational posts as well as the posts of presiding officers in the Assembly and Council. His meetings will also lend clarity on the issue whether APCC chief D. Srinivas would be retained or replaced.
