Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy will be launching ‘Rythu Chaitanya Sadassulu’ at B.R stadium here on May 9, for which the district administration is making necessary arrangements. Agriculture Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana reviewed arrangements at a meeting here on Saturday.
As the name suggests, the ‘Rythu Chaitanya Sadassulu’ were aimed at spreading awareness about the latest agricultural practices which help them in achieving higher productivity and maximizing returns on investments. Agricultural scientists will educate farmers about the current trends in research.
Due priority is being attached to farm mechanisation, usage of organic fertilizers and ways to optimally utilize the resources. Agricultural implements will be distributed to farmers towards the end of the programme. In-Charge Collector D. Muralidhar Reddy, Superintendent of Police (urban). A. Ravi Krishna, Joint Director of Agriculture V. Sridhar, Guntur Municipal Commissioner K. Venkateswarulu and others were present. Later, Mr. Muralidhar Reddy discussed the arrangements at a meeting with the district officials at B.R stadium.
