Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has made it clear that there should be no red tapism and pendency of decisions at the top level.

“The files should move automatically. There should be no stagnation at any level. Delay of file by any single officer will affect the delivery of fruits of government schemes and programmes to people”, he said during an interaction with Chief Secretary S. V. Prasad on the follow up measures to be taken after a recent meeting with the heads of departments on Sunday.

He asked the Chief Secretary to ensure that his goal of putting the State on fast track and achieving the cherished twin objective of balanced, total welfare and development of all the regions in the State is achieved at any cost.

Making his priorities and thrust areas clear, the Chief Minister wanted the top level functionaries to take all decisions and strategies forward and ensure that State attain a coveted position. He told the Chief Secretary that his ultimate aim is to provide a clean, transparent, responsible and responsive administration. The Chief Minister reiterated his thrust areas as effective delivery mechanism, quick disposal of files and efficient coordination among the departments to provide good governance. He directed the Chief Secretary to present progress report on implementation of all schemes and programmes once in a month so that loopholes are plugged.
