Taking some time off from his hectic political activities at Hyderabad, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy flew into his native Nagaripalle village in the district on Saturday evening for a one-day sojourn.
Kiran’s visit has sparked off some political activities in the district, coming as it does a day after his beta noire Chandrababu Naidu suffering a major setback in his own home district when one of his close followers and the party’s Palamaner MLA, N. Amarnadha Reddy, parted ways with the TDP and joined Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy.
Amarnadha joins YSRC
Though Amarnadha joining YSRC does not politically help either Kiran Kumar Reddy or his ruling Congress dispensation, the serious embarrassment caused to his arch rival, Chandrababu Naidu, in his own backyard nonetheless, is sure to bring some cheer, despite his own political travails.
Meanwhile, reports said that for the second consecutive day, irate TDP cadres, who could not apparently digest the TDP MLA Amarnadha Reddy switching sides to YSR Congress, though his family was politically well-nurtured by both N.T. Rama Rao and Chandrababu Naidu, gave vent to their fury.
They reportedly burnt his effigies at a number of places in his present Palamaner constituency and his previous Punganur segment as well.
