Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has dismissed charge levelled against him that he was extending tacit support to the Central government’s decision to bifurcate the State.
The Chief Minister who held consultations with the agitating government employees was reported to have allayed apprehensions on his commitment to continuing his fight for the united State.
Mr. Reddy is understood to have explained to the delegation how he had put his political career and the Chief Minister’s post at stake in his fight against division of the State.
“In spite of the difficulties we are facing, we are determined to continue our struggle to ensure that the party leadership retracts its decision,” he said.
He recalled how the Congress leaders had sent written representations against bifurcation to the party high command more than once.
The party leaders were trying to impress upon the party high command the difficulties that would arise.
