Leaders should keep in mind the global economic recession as we have reached a stage where governance will play a vital role in bringing the economy back on track. They should refrain from making unrealistic promises and doling out goodies that will cost the public exchequer, but spend more money on welfare activities, ensuring that money allocated for such expenditure is well-spent and not wasted or siphoned-off.

Focus on youth

For the first time, the present elections in Andhra Pradesh are revolving around the youth, thanks to various actor-turned-politicians, who have a large following among the youth. The youngsters should feel responsible in casting their votes. Many parties are making tall promises to the youngsters. We should not get distracted by them and must cast votes to those who have ability to deliver and to those who have a zeal to reform the society.
