The remarks made by TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao are being quoted out of context by some vested interests only to create controversy, says senior party leader Kadiam Srihari.
“Only those who are opposing the creation of separate Telangana are creating controversy. Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao only referred to the Constitutional provisions with regard to allocation of cadre to two the States. He said the new Seemandhra state too will need employees and those hailing from that region will have to go to develop the new state,” Mr. Srihari explained.
The TRS leader accused the Congress party of fuelling the movement in Seemandhra region by instigating the people there and encouraging its leaders to take part in the movement. People of Telangana region were witnessing the double standards of the Congress party and would certainly teach them a lesson at an appropriate time.
Mr. Srihari also accused the TDP and YSR Congress of adopting double standards. “TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu went on record that it was due to their letter that the Congress had taken the decision in favour of Telangana state. But, he is keeping silent when his party leaders in Andhra and Rayalaseema are agitating against the decision. Who is Mr. Naidu trying to hoodwink?”
He pointed out that a new committee or Cabinet sub-committee would be set up as per the Constitution which would look into the allocation of cadre, water, natural resources among others. “There is no need to fear. Indian Constitution guarantees safety and security to life and property of all its citizens,” he pointed out.
