Foodies can relish the rich and aromatic flavours of Kashmiri food right here in Vijayawada at the Fortune Murali Park’s Kashmiri Food Festival- Wazwan-2012.

The 10-day festival that began from Wednesday, put up at the 24 hours Astral Coffee Shop, will have a host of dishes from the rich Kashmiri cuisine. A traditional Kashmiri Thali was called Wazwan, said assistant sales manager S. K Jeelani. Though generally Kashmiri food includes a lot of non-vegetarian dishes, the extensive menu at this festival will also include a variety of vegetarian delicacies, he said.

The extensive buffet spread will include dishes such as Ghost Gosthaba, Tabak Maaz, Palak Rishta, Sheek Kebab, Ghost Roghan Josh, Zingha Tazdar Masala, Samundari Khaas, Shahi Gosht Biryani, Pholari Gobhi Masala, Ruhwangun Gadh, Dum Aloo, Palak Chaman, Razmah, Nadru Kebab, Manje Kael, and Kan Guch Pulao.There will be a special dessert session which will include Doodh Al, Doon Chetin, Apple Phirni, Apple Halwa and Kong Phirni, said Food and Beverage Manager Sujith. Interiors were also done up to suit the occasion, he said. The festival will be open till December 22.
