The festival will start with ‘Bhuvana Vijayam’, a poetic drama
The district administration has planned to celebrate Kandanavole cultural festival between December 21 and 23 at Police Parade Grounds and Sunayana Auditorium.
In a statement, District Public Relations Officer P. Timmappa said the festival would start on December 21 at 10 a.m. with ‘Bhuvana Vijayam’, a poetic drama and ‘Telugu Ruchulu’ food festival. In the evening, rallies and display of tableaus would be conducted with the traditional artistes taking part in it.
The statue of Telugu Talli would be unveiled at Kondareddy Fort at 5 p.m. followed by cultural festival at Police Parade Grounds. Mimicry, welcome songs by students, Goravaiahlu, Birappa Dolu, and Ghazals by Srinivas would follow. On December 22, food festival, rural sports, Rangoli competition, display of Telugu traditional costumes, Astavadanam, and contests in elocution and essay writing would be held.
In the evening, school students, folk artiste Jangi Reddy, popular singers Sobharaj and V. Ramakrishna would render songs.
On the last day, rural sports, poetic conferences, violin concert by V. Reddy Raja, music concert by Maddiah, Mohammad Miya, Yalamarthi Ramanaiah and Suresh would be held. The programme would conclude with presentation of prizes and camp fire in the backdrop of musical programme by Vandemataram Srinivas.
