Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) on Friday in a press release said that it will take necessary measures immediately to ensure that the few instances of ‘minor aberrations' in the 6{+t}{+h}phase of ‘Kalyanmastu' are not repeated in the future.

Executive Officer of TTD, I. Y. R. Krishna Rao, said that the temple administration has come to know through media reports about few incidents that occurred at Khammam and Karimnagar districts during the Kalyanmastu programme on Friday.

The Executive Officer said that the district administration had done a good job in coordinating efforts of the Kalyanmastu in all the 294 Assembly segments.

The EO said that the district administration has already taken measures not only to cancel such weddings and also to order enquiries into them so that they do not occur again.

The Executive Officer reiterated that the purpose of ‘Kalyanmastu' in districts all over the State was to ensure that all the newly wedded couples from poor families benefit with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara for a happy and prosperous married life.

The TTD official assured that no effort will be spared in the endeavour of TTD to conduct for the future phases of Kalyanmastu in a more fool proof and devotee friendly environment in coordination with the district administration, release said.
