WARANGAL: Kakatiya University Economics Professor T. Papi Reddy has been nominated member of the governing council of the prestigious New Delhi V.V. Giri National Labour Research Institute.
He is one of 20 members nominated. He has been nominated by the Ministry of Labour, Government of India for his contributions to research on agrarian relations and labour from Andhra Pradesh.
Prof. Papi Reddy has nearly 26 years of teaching experience and guided 12 M Phil. scholars. Six PhD scholars are working with him at present. Earlier he was head of Economics Department and presently is the Controller of Examinations. He has been connected for more than two decades with Association of Kakatiya University Teachers Association (AKUT) in various capacities and at present is Vice-Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Federation of University Teachers Association (APFUTA).
Prof. Papi Reddy's appointment has been hailed by the academic community of the university. V-C V. Gopal Reddy and Registrar S. Jagannadha Swamy congratulated Prof. Papi Reddy.
