Jana Vignana Vedika (JVV), Krishna district unit, will organise its silver jubilee celebrations here on February 28, coinciding with National Science Day.

The celebrations will be organised at Tummalapalli Kshetrayya Kalakshetram.

Acharya Nagarjuna University Vice-Chancellor K. Viyanna Rao and Dr. V. Ramprasad of Janata Hospital have been elected honorary president and president of the reception committee of the celebrations.

V.V. Krishna Rao of Samata Marg will act as vice-president. JVV Krishna district vice-president will function as Krishna district secretary of the reception committee. JVV Guntur district treasurer has been elected Guntur district secretary.

Exhibitions, painting competitions on environment, and science rallies will be organised as part of the celebrations. Three women who launched agitation against the liquor in Nellore district will also be felicitated, apart from sanitary workers of the VMC, and Gouru Naidu, who strived for the development of JVV cultural wing.
