TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu had lost his credibility in the eyes of the electorate, YSR Congress Central Governing Council member Jupudi Prabhakar said on Friday.
Addressing a meeting of the party leaders, Mr. Prabhakar lashed out at Mr. Naidu and the Kiran Kumar Reddy-led Congress government in the State. YSRC president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy was languishing in jail as a result of a tacit understanding between the government and the Opposition, he alleged.
Ridiculing Mr. Naidu’s padayatra, Mr. Prabhakar said he was shamelessly getting ready to get trounced at the hands of women – YSRC honorary president Vijayamma and her daughter Sharmila. Pointing out that a survey commissioned by MP Lagadapati Rajagopal had forecast 190 seats for the YSRC in the Assembly in the forthcoming elections, he said Mr. Naidu was unlikely to make a dent. He urged the party leaders to work selflessly for the victory of the YSRC in the forthcoming elections. Citing his and former Minister Mareppa’s example, he called on the party leaders not to aspire for posts. He urged the youth to join politics to serve the people.
He exudes confidence that Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy will emerge unscathed from jail
