AIADMK leader also visits Pedda Jeeyar mutt
TIRUMALA: The former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalithaa on Monday offered prayers at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara. Accompanied by her close associate Sasikala she reached Tirupati in a special helicopter and directly motored up to the sacred town.
This is her second visit to the district in a span of one week. During her visit last week, she visited Srikalahasteeswara temple.
On her arrival at the main entrance of the temple the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Chairman D.K. Adikesavulu accorded her a warm reception and facilitated darshan of the lord.
After having darshan of the lord, Ms. Jayalalithaa also made some ‘offering' in the Hundi.
Later, the temple priests rendered ‘Vedasirvachanam' on her at the ‘Ranganayakula mandapam' inside the temple. Interestingly, Ms. Jayalalithaa also paid a visit to the TTD's Pedda Jeeyar mutt and took the blessings of Sri Thiruvengada Ramanuja Sadagopal Jeeyar before leaving for Tirupati from where she flew back to Chennai.
