Third Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Gajuwaka C. Ramadevi on Monday found Mynam Srinivas of Malkapuram guilty in two different cases of deceiving unemployed persons with a promise of getting them jobs, and sentenced him to undergo one-year imprisonment in each case, with the sentence to be run concurrently.

According to Assistant Public Prosecutor M. Adinarayana, Srinivas cheated K. Ganesh and D. Paramesham by promising them jobs in the Central Industrial Security Force and also conducted interviews and medical tests and took the applicants to Madhya Pradesh for a fake interview. Mr. Ganesh and Mr. Paramesham paid Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively to Srinivas during February 2011. When he failed to get them jobs, they lodged a complaint with the police.
